Janaki and Cheran

I enjoyed painting the vivid colour of this wooden Mandap - India Wood being a sign of purity and tradition in South Indian and Sri Lankan weddings. I tend to paint with bold colour, so the vibrant flowers and clothing was a great fit for me and, I feel, reflects the intensity of the celebrations.
